Support Fibro is expanding our education tour events this summer in order to engage people living with Fibromyalgia and overlapping autoimmune conditions in food deserts for New Mexico, Louisiana, Mississippi, and South Carolina. Our Impact Fund Award helps pay for educational resources in these states.
This is a multifaceted project which will focus on healthcare outcomes, self-management strategies, patient-centered education, and technology integration. Educational content will be framed in the latest research and rooted in Positive Psychology and Functional Medicine. Support Fibro’s strength stems from our outreach not being stationary, but mobile; we are providing program services at the locations where patients are located. Through this project, we can evaluate programs that are underfunded and resources missing completely.
We are currently looking for passionate sponsors, healthcare providers, and community leaders to join us on the FibroLife Tour. You can download our media kit or use the contact form on this page to get involved.
This grant allows Support Fibro to purchase and print Fibromyalgia education materials in both English and Spanish. Patients with overlapping autoimmune conditions are invited to attend our events.
Educational materials will be split up for one metropolitan city and two food deserts in each of the four states. Funding from the Impact Award goes 100% to the purchase of educational resources.
Melissa’s Fibromyalgia journey began at age fourteen and she spent over twenty years declining. Through biohacking, she took control of her health, and now she is on a mission to pick up every Fibromyalgia patient and remind them Support Fibro has their back.
She is a Board Certified Functional Medicine Health Coach, Certified Wahls Protocol® Health Professional, and Certified ReCODE & ReVERSE coach (Bredesen Protocol) with specialized training in Fibromyalgia, autoimmune conditions, and brain health.
